ELLIOTT DOMINATES KOKOMO

Tony Elliott scored a popular hometown victory Thursday night by capturing the 25 lap Wolverine Mid-Season National feature at the Evans Kokomo Speedway.

The event was sanctioned by the Badger Midget Series, Namars/Auto Value and MARA Midget Series.

Elliott ducked into the lead at the start from his second row starting position. With Elliott’s lead, attention turned to Jerry Coons who started 17th and was running ninth on the fourth lap. Earlier, Coons won the B feature after starting 21st.

Elliott’s two second lead was erased when Scott Hatton hit the wall, bringing out the events only caution. On the restart, Randy Koch, Steve Knepper and J.J. Yeley trailed Elliott with Coons in sixth.
