Hatton's Win Moves Him To Fifty Percent

Sun Prairie,Wis., July 11--Scott Hatton scored his third Badger Midget Series victory of the season capturing the 25-lap event Sunday Night at Angell Park Speedway. Hatton has now captured three of six events run this
year. Five events have also been rained out at different tracks during the season.
Chad DeSelle jumped into the lead at the start closely followed by Hatton, as the pair quickly moved away from the field. The leaders moved into heavy lapped traffic on the sixth lap. Hatton moved around DeSelle using a lapped car to take the lead exiting turn four on the eighth lap. DeSelle regained the lead entering the first turn.
The caution was displayed for a slow moving car on the 11th lap.During the caution DeSelle pitted with a flat left front tire. The event was restarted before DeSelle's crew could change the tire. Hatton quickly moved away from David Gough, and Aaron Fiscus on the restart. Davey Ray moved into second place ont he 16th lap, the same time Hatton began lapping the tail of the field.
Hatton driving the Huston Soultion/Stealth-Mopar maintained his lead over Ray, as he set a blistering pace cutting through lapped traffic. Eight cars finished on the lead lap, as Hatton finished 3.88 seconds ahead of Ray. Gough, who scored a career best finish at the facility was third with dash winner Critter Malone, and Aaron Fiscus finishing fifth. Wet track conditions forced the cancellation of qualifying, with preliminary races determining the starting feature field. Hatton holds a 40 point lead over Ray heading into the July 18 event at the facility.
