Felker Scores Double At Peoria

Peoria, Ill., May 19—Andrew Felker won the 30-lap POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget and Stark Automotive Group/Mid-State Equipment Badger Midget Series co-sanctioned feature, Saturday Night at Peoria Speedway. It was a spectacular night for the nineteen year-old driver from Carl Junction, Mo., who also won the accompanying Speedway Motors 600cc Outlaw Micro Series feature.
Brett Anderson jumped into the lead at the start closely followed by Danny Stratton. Felker moved into third place on the seventh lap, and one lap later Stratton passed Anderson for the lead. With Stratton in the lead, Anderson and Felker continued the battle for second place, with Felker gaining the position on Lap 19. Felker passed Stratton entering Turn 2 on Lap 24 to take the lead. 
Felker slowly increased his lead over the final five laps finishing four car-lengths in front of Stratton for the victory driving the Danny Felker owned Spike/Fontana No. 11. Anderson, Scott Hatton and Tyler Robbins completed the top five. "This is a special night for us for sure," Felker said.
Stratton holds a 25-point lead over Daniel Robinson heading into the May 27 Badger sanctioned event at Angell Park Speedway (Sun Prairie, Wis.), the first of seven midget events at the facility this season.
