The race capped off a doubleheader weekend celebrating Badger's 77-years of sanctioning midget auto racing.

Hagen opened up two second lead at the midway point. On Lap 18 Stratton retired running in third place. Two cautions appeared on Lap 20 and three laps later for a stalled car and debris on the track.
The broken exhaust header on Hagen's car continued to caused his car to begin to misfire, however on the restart Hagen pulled away from the field. A torrid five-car battle for second place occurred over the final seven laps behind Hagen. Hagen drving the RFMS Racing owned DRC/Ford-Esslinger No. 3 finished 1.520 seconds ahead of Mike Hess, Badger points leader Brad Kuhn, Zach Daum and Scott Hatton who started in 16th starting position.
