Rain stops Badger Midget Feature
By Bryan Gapinski Sun Prairie, Wis., July 26, 2009---Heavy rain showers before the Badger Midget Series feature Sunday Night at Angell Park Speedway, forced completion of the evenings race events.
The starting feature field equally divided the purse and points for the event. Earlier in the evening Matt Smith topped the field in qualifying, with heat race victories claimed by Bubba Altig and Brandon Waelti. Chad DeSelle won the semi feature. Scott Hatton holds a 121-point lead over Brad Loyet heading into the Aug. 2 event at Angell Park Speedway.
