Jones Continues Point Lead Heading Into Next Week's Badger Hall of Fame Weekend
Parker Jones leads the Advanced Fastening Supply Badger Midget Series point standings going into the holiday weekend. Badger is off until July 13. Their sister organization MARA will be in action on Thursday, July 3, at Lincoln Speedway.
After last week's racing Kyle Stark has overtaken Derek Doerr for the runner-up spot. Brandon Waelti and Luck Wackerlin round out the top-five.
HALL OF FAME BANQUET REGISTRATION DUE TODAY
Fans, friends and family are encouraged to get their reservations in now for July 13 and the club's second annual BMARA Hall of Fame Inductions. Notice of attendance to the luncheon is due today, Wednesday, July 2. Prices for the different levels of participation include admission to the Racers' Reunion race at Angell Park Speedway.
Bud Doty, Kevin Doty, Hilbert Ermer, Father Dale Grubba, Scott Hatton, Bill Horstmeyer, Dwight Huston and Walter Whitehorse are the 2025 inductees. While Kevin Doty, Hilbert Ermer and Bill Hostmeyer are no longer with us, all other inductees are expected including 100 year old Walter Whitehorse. Family and friends will accept for those who have passed.
Tom Bigelow, who took Bud Doty's midget to an Angell Park championship, will make his was from Indiana to serve as the Keynote Speaker of the event. "Bigs" reports that he will also be in the pits during the races as his grandson, Thomas Bigelow will compete with Badger.
Fund raising raffles for the Badger Hall of Fame will be available along with some point of sale items. Held in the upper level of the Angell Park Pavilion, a cash bar will be available. The luncheon seating will start at 11 a.m. Lunch will be served at 11:30 The ceremony is scheduled for 1 p.m.
Inductees are encouraged to bring items from their careers for display.
We hope to see many past BMARA drivers and officials during this very special day.
