Badger Midget Auto Racing Association
The Car #59 Reminds Fans It's Just 59 Days From The AFS Badger Midget Opener
In less than two months the Advanced Fastening Supply Badger Midget Auto Racing Association will open another exciting season of open wheel racing. Mark April 26, on your calendar when the BMARA will join the IRA Sprint Cars and Dirt King Late Models for a huge show to start the season at Beaver Dam Raceway.
As many know, this is being billed as "The Farewell Season," at the popular 1/3 mile track in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. Fans won't want to miss a single lap of their abbreviated schedule.
In honor of being 59 days away from that race, we checked in with Badger veteran #59 Kyle Koch regarding his team and plans for 2025.
Car #: 59
Owner: Paul Krueger (Grandpa)
Crew: Grandpa and my Dad, Randy Koch
Sponsors: Badger Welding
Favorite Track: Angell Park Speedway
Do you have any racing superstitions and/or race day routines? No
Is there any significance to your car number? 59 was the number of the racecar my Dad drove when I was born in 1990. It was owned by Dave and Lois Tyler from New Glarus.
What are your highlights from 2024? No highlights in particular that were more important than the times when Grandpa, Dad and Uncle Kevin were there with me to help with the racecar and coach me for the race.
What are your plans for 2025? We plan to run the events on the BMARA schedule in 2025.
Re the Victory Lane photo: Yep, that's Kyle in Victory Lane, being held by his dad, former BMARA champ Randy Koch along with Kyle's mom, Pam Krueger.
