Peterson, Weishoff Go One, Two at MKE World of Wheels
The Advanced Fastening Supply Badger Midget Series was well represented at the 62nd annual World of Wheels held at State Fair Park in West Allis recently. Badger's Brian Peterson, in his flashy and familiar #7 took first place in the "Competition-Track" category while Trey Weishoff with his #45 Fanaktive car finished runner-up in the class.
Former Badger official Chuck Bollig, stood on the podium in his division, "Vintage Race Car," with his beautifully restored midget, earning third-place honors.
The World of Wheels is a popular winter diversion for car enthusiasts, which features custom cars but also invites racers to the event. The three owners were there to spread the news of Badger and Angell Park Speedway during the three day event.
Participating in World of Wheels is no small task with trailering and hauling cars, unloading and setting up displays and then interacting with the public being all part of the show. The Badger contingent is unique in that attendees can actually touch these cars. With so many (understandably) roped off exhibits of valuable cars where fans must remain hands-off, folks, especially kids, are invited to actually sit in the midgets.
Along with the car owners, others who participated from the BMARA were: Clare Rhone, Denny Smith, Quinn McCabe, Amy Schulz, Bryan Folz, Dave Collins, Dee Peterson, Linda Bredeson, and Mike Stroik.
2025 marks Badger's 90th year of bringing top-notch midget racing to the Midwest. The schedule starts April 26 kicking of the historic final season for Beaver Dam Raceway. Follow the BMARA on their website or Facebook for features, updates and results as the 2025 season amps up.
