“Reif wins Badger BDM Micro season finale”
Jake Reif took advantage of misfortunes in front of him to win the 20-lap Badger 600 Micro Series presented by My Race Pass, Saturday Night at the Beaver Dam Raceway. The event was the season for finale for Badger, which completed their fifth season of sanctioning 600cc micro sprints.
Pole sitter Chad Bogar jumped into the lead at the start of the event followed by newly crowned series champion Will Gerrits. The pair tangled while battling for the lead on Lap 11, with Bogar, coming to a stop.
Gerrits led the lap following the restart, and was challenged by Zach Boden for the top position. The pair made contact, with Boden flipping and Gerrits retiring from the event.
Reif who assumed the lead on the restart ran the remaining seven laps without incident. The victory was the second at the track for Reif who previously won the May 19, 2012 event. Andy Rein, Tyler Brabant, Jerry Reif, and Chad Bogar completed the top five.
