First Plymouth Then The Dahlke Memorial At Angell Park Await AFS Badger Series
The Advanced Fastening Supply Badger Midget Auto Racing Association has another doubleheader weekend slated for this Saturday and Sunday, May 30 and 31.
The action starts at the Plymouth Dirt Track (Plymouth, WI). Badger last appeared there in 2023 where Jace Sparks won in May and Brandon Waelti charged from his 9th-place starting spot to claim the June go.
On Sunday, after being rained out two weeks prior, Angell Park Speedway (Sun Prairie, WI) opens their season hosting Badger's Dahlke Memorial. This event marks the richest purse of the season with over $35,000 on the line.
The Dahlke Memorial honors BJ Dahlke and his daughter Addison who perished in an automobile crash in 2022. Both were instrumental to teams within the Badger Midget community. Today, the Badger Kids Club in named in honor of Addison.
Substantial funds, in addition to the normal Badger payout, have been raised in the name of BJ and Addison, thanks to friends, sponsors and fans. The purse is scheduled to pay $5,000 to win and no less than $400 to start the A-Main on Sunday. Check the Badger Facebook page if you would like to contribute.
