AFS Badger Midgets Back in Action at Wilmot Saturday

Sun Prairie, WI (May 26, 2023) - The Advanced Fastening Supply Badger Midgets will return to action Saturday, May 27 at the Wilmot Raceway in Wilmot, WI. Todd Kluever leads the series into the event as the series points leader.

Brandon Waelti was the most recent winner taking the victory in stunning fashion. Waelti came from the 15th starting position to pass David Budres and find victory lane in the Dahlke Memorial race this past Sunday.

Cody Weisensel sits in second in the standings with a stellar start to his 2023 campaign. Weisensel has been showing consistency this season with finishes of 10th, second, and eighth so far. Could Weisensel break through Saturday night and be standing on top of the podium?

Jace Sparks sits in third in the standings after breaking through to take his first-ever Badger Midget series victory at Plymouth Dirt Track this past Saturday. Sparks had been steadily improving before his breakthrough win. He will be one to keep an eye on at Wilmot.

Mike Stroik, who sits in fourth in the standings, has been the silent assassin this season. He quietly finished fifth at the season opener in Kankakee, IL then backed it up with a sixth-place finish at Plymouth Dirt Track in the second event and finished 12th at Angell Park last Sunday. Stroik is poised to make it to victory lane in 2023, and it's just a matter of time.

Rounding out your top five in the standings is Brandon Waelti who missed the season opener, but finished eighth at Plymouth Dirt Track and took the win at Angell Park. Waelti is scheduled to be a part-time racer wit the Badger Midgets in 2023.

Saturday's event at Wilmot Raceways kicks off with pit gates opening at 2 pm, grandstands opening at 5 pm, and opening ceremonies at 6:45 pm.
