Dahlke Memorial Seeks Lap Sponsors For AFS Badger Midget Series Home Opener At APS
Time is running out. The Advanced Fastening Supply Badger Midget Auto Racing Association's biggest payday of the year happens early in the season with the Sunday, May 17, go at Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie, WI. This is the season opener for the historic track.
While it is the traditional opener for Angell Park, Badger opens their 2026 season a little earlier with an event co-sanctioned with the Midget Auto Racing Association (MARA) at Davenport Speedway on Friday, May 8.
It is the hope that supporters of Badger will help organizers surpass last year's $25,000 mark for the Dahlke Memorial.
The race is run in memory of Addison and BJ Dahlke who tragically passed away in a highway crash in September of 2022. Addison, a huge AFS Badger Midget Series fan, was 11 years old at the time. Here dad BJ was a former Badger driver and very active within the club.
The money put up by fans, businesses, teams and sponsors is in addition to the normal Badger purse. This is a great way to financially support the AFS Badger Midget Series teams.
